Dan Andrews '90 was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2014. He was one of the finest all-around running backs in the the sport of football to ever play for the Brown & Gold.

Andrews helped the Yellow Jacket football team compile a 27-12-1 record with a .688 winning percentage. The Lakewood, Ohio native and St. Edward High School graduate was selected as a 1989 Division III All-American by both The Don Hansen's Football Gazette and Pizza Hut selected committees.

Andrews was a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC pick. He also was a first-team choice on each squad in 1989. He earned first-team CoSISA (Verizon) Academic All-District IV honors and graduated with a 3.3 grade point average in business administration.

A four-year starter and 1989 team captain, Andrews ran for 1,931 yards in 413 attempts with 18 touchdowns, caught 110 passes for 854 yards and three more TDs, ran back 35 punts for a 9.9-yard average and returned 12 kickoffs for a 23.7-yard average. His more than 3,400 career all-purpose yards which still ranks third all-time in Yellow Jacket history.

After graduation, Andrews began work in the insurance industry but quickly moved into business. First, he began buying and selling in manufacturing and then purchasing and owning the business himself.

During the past 20 years, Andrews has turned his own parent company, Olympic Forest Products, Inc., and his three other subsequent companies, into one of the world's foremost "green compancies" in terms of sustainability and recycling wooden pallets and specialty products.
