Dr. John Yezerski '73 graduated from Baldwin-Wallace in 1973 and was elected in to the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1986.

While attending Baldwin-Wallace, John earned seven varsity letters in two different sports. His athletic accomplishments were recognized by being named one of the Outstanding College Athletes in America in 1973.

John's outstanding play from his offensive guard position earned him three varsity football letters. For his exploits on the gridiron, John was named to the All-Conference football squad both his junior and senior years. John's academic excellence was also recognized with second team Academic All-American honors in 1971 and first team Academic All-American honors in 1972. John's football career was capped by an outstanding senior year which earned him the Dick Van Almen Outstanding Lineman Award, the Frank Roppolo Award for being the most outstanding player during the Homecoming game, and the Mike Gregory Award which is awarded to the Outstanding Lineman in the Ohio Athletic Conference. John's teammates recognized his positive example and leadership qualities by selecting him as one of the team's tri-captains in 1972.

John's athletic accomplishments were not limited to the football field. In the 177 pound weight class, John was a four-year letter winning wrestler. He was the Ohio Athletic Conference 177 pound champion in both his freshman and sophomore years. He took third-place in 1972 and second-place in 1973 in the 177 pound weight division. John was named team captain by his teammates in both his junior and senior years.

While at B-W, John was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from B-W, John earned his Master's in physical therapy from Baylor University. He graduated from the University of Louisville medical school in 1982 and began his internship and residency at the University of Kentucky in the area of orthopedic surgery.

John, an Ohio native, now resides in Lexington, Kentucky. He and his wife, Martha, have three sons.
