Don Alexander '77 was one of the best 800-meter runners in the country when he attended Baldwin-Wallace College. He was a six-time letterman in cross country and track. Alexander helped lead the Yellow Jackets to seven Ohio Athletic Conference championships, including the 1975, 1976 and 1977 OAC indoor and outdoor track crowns.

Alexander was named All-OAC 11 times, was an OAC champion in the 800 meters, a five-time qualifier for the NCAA Division III National Meet and an All-American. He also led many B-W teams to Cleveland College titles.

In addition to his excellence on the track, Alexander was a member of the Dean's List, was named the Outstanding Greek in 1976 for his membership and participation in the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and was also a reporter for The Exponent.

Following his career at B-W, Alexander continued running competitively in meets across the country. He ran competitive road races for Team Ohio and went on to coach both of their youth groups. Alexander formed the B-W Track Club and was also an assistant coach at B-W in 1990 and 1991. He was the Camp Director of "The Quest for Success," a cross country camp for Greater Cleveland area high school boys and girls.

Professionally, Alexander began a career with Lieberman Enterprises in 1978 while working towards his master's degree at Cleveland State University. He received his master's degree from CSU in 1980 and then went on to work as a sales representative at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals. He and his wife, the former Rae Heisner '77, have four children and reside in Strongsville.
