Carole Filsinger Ratcliffe '68 graduated from BW in 1968 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1997.

Ratcliffe was very active in both athletics and campus life while a Baldwin-Wallace undergraduate.  Although she was a 2,000-meter swimmer, she participated in other sports at B-W.  She was the captain of the field hockey team, played basketball, volleyball, tennis and was active in track and field for one season.  Also active in intramurals, she was the president of the Women's Recreation Association.

Ratcliffe was the secretary of the sophomore class and vice president of her senior class.  She was a member of Alpha Phi, and served on the Program Board.

Ratcliffe sailed competitively for the United States in numerous events in and out of the country.  Playing tennis led her to raquetball in which she also competed on a national level.

Her career has kept her close to her love of sailing, as she first sold sailboats and then, in 1976, became owner of Bay Shores, Inc..  Since 1992, she has been the owner of Yacht Consulting and Chandlery in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
