A football athlete, Keith Boedicker '83 started on top. As a freshman, he was on special teams for the Yellow Jackets in 1978 when they won the NCAA Division III National Championship. He was a three-year starter and letterman. As a defensive lineman, he was named a two-time, first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. During his junior year, he was a leading tackler and  All-OAC Player of the Week twice. He also received the Frank Ropollo Award.

He majored in health and physical education at BW. In 2001, he received a master's degree in teaching from Nova Southeastern University. He was a teacher and successful coach at Nordonia High School for 13 years and, in 2003, was named 'Coach of the Year (co-coach)' by the Associated Press Northeast Inland All-District. Following a stint as an assistant coach on the BW coaching staff, Boedicker was named the head coach at Massillon Perry High School in 2010.
