Matt Luck '90 was a four-year letterman in track and cross country and the captain of the 1989 cross country team. He was a NCAA Division III All-American in 1989 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (fifth place) and a three-time NCAA Division III national qualifier, once in cross country (1988) and twice in track (1989 and 1990). He was a two-time All-OAC runner in XC, including being the 1989 BW Most Outstanding Runner. He was All-OAC in track six times, including being a two-time individual champion in the steeplechase (1988 and 1989) and a three-time BW Most Outstanding Distance Runner (1988 through 1990) and the 1989 BW Most Valuable Track Athlete. Matt also was the 1989 Jim Wuske Award Winner at the 1989 OAC Indoor Championships and received the OAC's Paul "Sparky" Adams Award at the 1989 OAC Outdoor Championships. Currently, Matt is a social studies teacher and the head boys track and field coach at Willoughby South High School.
