Mary Haffner '82 graduated from BW in 1982 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1993.

Haffner has worked to educate others since her graduation from Baldwin-Wallace.

In athletics, Haffner was a four-sport standout, earning letters in cross country, basketball, track and softball. In cross country, Haffner was a four-year letter-winner and a three-time OAC champion (1978, 1980 and 1981) as B-W captured two cross country championships during her career. She was a three-time NCAA qualifier. In basketball, Haffner was a four year letterwinner who was Co-captain. In track, Haffner was a three-year letterwinner and set seven records in either individually or as a member of a relay team. In softball, Haffner played and lettered one year and helped lead B-W to a 16-8 record and a fourth place.

On campus, Haffner was involved in the Women's Recreation Association and the Cleveland Women's Physical Education and Recreation Association.

Some of Haffner's honors include being a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a participant in the White Rose Ceremony, a recipient of the Myra Stover Award, a recipient of the Cleveland Athletic Club's Jimmy Lee Scholarship, a board member of the Baldwin-Wallace College Womens Alumni Athletic Association, and was inducted into the Berea High School Hall of Fame in 1991.

Presently, Haffner works in Cleveland Metroparks as a Educational Specialist/Naturalist and works in the Berea Recreation Department as a Recreation Specialist.
