Ted Johnson '69 graduated from Baldwin-Wallace in 1969 and was elected into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1988.

Johnson is recognized as one of the most exceptional basketball players in Baldwin-Wallace history. Known for his ferocious offensive rebounding, Johnson set a Yellow Jacket single season record for rebounds, 400, and rebounding average, 14.8 per game. 

A product of the nationally renown Dayton Dunbar High School basketball program, Johnson is considered by many as the greatest offensive rebounder in Ohio Athletic Conference history. in 1967, he was honored as the Yellow Jackets co-captain, an All-Ohio Conference choice, and the teams most valuble player.

Johnson, B-W's third all-time leading scorer with 1,652 points was also named to the All-Cleveland College team two straight years. In addition, he was a track standout at B-W for two years as well. In his senior year, he was honored by being named to the "Who's Who Basketball Team" in 1969.

Upon graduation, Johnson was drafted by the Cincinatti Royals National Basketball Association franchise where he made it to the final cut. In addition to his leadership and abilities on the basketball court at B-W, Johnson was President of the United Student Acton Organization, a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha and Omicron Delta Kappa honor fraternities.

Currently, he is a management development specialist residing in Denver, CO with his wife and two daughters.
