Wayne Bilinovic '90 grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and was a standout basketball student-athlete at Garfield Heights Trinity High School. He played basketball at Baldwin Wallace University from 1986-1990 and was one of the finest point guards to ever wear the Brown & Gold.

He was a four-year starter and a two-time captain of the Yellow Jacket squad. During his four-year career, he averaged 7.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 106 career games, but passing the basketball was his specialty as he carved his name into the BW record books with 540 career assists. That record still stands today. The Yellow Jackets increased their total victories in every season he played. He was honored as BW's Outstanding Senior Male Athlete, an All-OAC selection and OAC Player of the Week choice and as a Basketball Gazette honorable mention Division III All-American in 1989-90. He ended his career as just one of 12 players in NCAA history to record more than 800 points and 500 assists.

Bilinovic not only stood out on the court but also in the classroom where he earned first-team Academic All-OAC and CoSIDA/GTE Academic All-District IV honors three times and was a CoSIDA/GTE second-team Academic All-American in 1989-90. He also was nominated for the OAC Clyde Lamb award and graduated with a 3.8 grade point average in accounting.
