Michael R. Blake '70 graduated from BW in 1970 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1986.

Michael Blake was a four-year letter winner in both baseball and football while at Baldwin-Wallace. His senior year on the gridiron as the Yellow Jacket's starting quarterback earned him numerous athletic honors. He was named the first-team All-Ohio Conference quarterback, and he was selected as the Outstanding B-W Backfield Performer. The Cleveland Touchdown Club selected him as the College Player of the Year in 1969. The Ohio Conference selected Blake as the 1969 Offensive Player of the Year, and he was named Baldwin-Wallace College's Male Athlete of the Year at the 1970 Honors Convocation. He was also awarded the Mike Gregory Award as the Outstanding Ohio Athletic Conference Back. Blake still holds many B-W passing marks today which include single season and career touchdown passes. 

On the baseball diamond, Mike hurled his was to a spot on the second-team All-Ohio Conference roster in 1968. His pitching exploits earned for him the distinction of being selected the Most Valuable Player on the 1968 Yellow Jacket baseball squad. 

While at Baldwin-Wallace, Mike was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from B-W, Mike became associated with the Cleveland Indians Professional Baseball Organization. In 1981, Blake received his Master of Arts degree from the Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies before entering the family business in Concord, New Hampshire.

Mike and his wife, Norma, reside in Concord, New Hampshire. He has two stepdaughters.
