Harry Weltman '57 graduated from Baldwin-Wallace in 1954 and was elected in to the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1995.

Weltman is synonymous with success in Cleveland sports and at Baldwin-Wallace. The former Yellow Jacket basketball and baseball star is probably best known for serving as the executive vice-president and general manager for the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team during the 1980's.

At B-W, Weltman was a three-year letterman in basketball. He was captain of the team during both his junior and senior year. His highest honor on the hardwood came when he was selected to the college All-Star Game against the Harlem Globetrotters.

On the baseball diamond, Weltman, a second baseman, lettered and batted better than .300 overall. He was a key Yellow Jacket player on the 1953 team which suffered only one loss.

Weltman's college activities included being president of the Omicron Delta Kappa, a leadership honorary; president of Sigma Lambda Alpha, a French honorary; and a membership in Phi Alpha Theta, a History honorary. Weltman also made the Dean's List and was a member of the Student's Activities Board.

He was an investment advisor for Dean Witter Financial Services in Cleveland.

The professional basketball teams Weltman has worked for include the St. Louis Spirits, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the New Jersey Nets. His positions have included manager, general manager and executive vice-president.

Weltman lives in Chagrin Falls with his wife Rosemary.
