Everett Heard '75 graduated from in 1975 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1988.

Heard was an outstanding three-sport letterman at Baldwin-Wallace in the mid-70's.  Heard was best known for his great quickness.  Everett was known for doing everything quick.  He spoke, moved, and most importantly, ran fast.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Heard led the Ohio Athletic Conference and finished third in the nation in punt returns in 1974.  He additionally was a first-team All-OAC safety that same year.

On the basketball court, Heard was a four-year starter at guard.  In 1975, Heard was honored as an All-Cleveland selection at guard.

In track, Heard was the 1974 OAC long jump champion and also was a member of B-W's 440-yard OAC champion relay team that went on to earn All-American acclaim that season.

After graduation from B-W, Everett began a very successful coaching career.  Currently, he is teaching and coaching in the Cleveland Heights School System and is a member of the Greater Cleveland Football and Basketball Coaches Association.

Heard and his wife Minyon, a 1976 B-W graduate, reside in Beford with their three children Nakita, Everett Jr., and Bryan.
