Robert "Bob" Rodriguez '87 graduated from BW in 1987 and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

Rodriguez was an outstanding multi-sport student-athlete and scholar who was the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete in 1986-87. He played football and baseball and wrestled, was  All-OAC and Academic All-OAC in both football and baseball, and was a 1987 CoSIDA-GTE Academic All-American. In football, Rodriguez lettered three times and played on two OAC Championship teams, was the Outstanding Specialist in 1985 and earned All-OAC, Academic All-OAC and Academic All-District 7 honors in 1986.

In wrestling, he competed in just one season and had a 12-5 record, lettered and led the team in pins. He served as a student assistant coach the following year.

In baseball, Rodriguez lettered three times, was a two-year starter on a team that won OAC titles in 1985 and 1986, and advanced to the championship game of the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional in 1985. He had a better than .300 career batting average and in 1987 was All-OAC, Academic All-OAC, Academic All-District 7 and an Academic All-American. In addition, Rodriguez was on the Dean’s List, received the Dr. Lee Tressel Scholarship, served as a Resident Assistant and graduated cum laude.

Today, he serves as the Athletics Development Director and Head Wrestling Coach at Hawken High School in Gates Mills, Ohio.
