Robert Foster graduated from B-W in 1950 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1990.

Bob earned 11 varsity letters while playing for the Yellow Jacket football, wrestling, and track teams. He was a tackle in football, a heavyweight wrestling champ and a versatile multi-event athlete in track.

On the gridiron, Bob played tackle when B-W played against some of the top schools in Ohio. In, wrestling, he was the heavyweight against some of the top big school competition and won an Ohio Athletic Conference title and Most Valuable Wrestler Award. And, in track, he threw the shot put and discus, high jumped and pole vaulted, and occasionally ran the low hurdles.

Prior to coming to B-W, Foster served in the Marine Corps in WWII. He came to B-W following his tenure in the service and competed as a veteran.

Following graduation, Bob has setup a successful insurance agency in Mansfield. He aditionally is a member of the Mansfield Rotary and Board of Directors of the Mansfield YMCA whil also serving as the president of the Westbrook Country Club. In 1968, Foster was named the Leader of the Month for Aetna by Corson, Bayer and Association, Inc. He is currently the president of the Powell-Foster & Miller insurance Agency.

He and his wife, Jaquelyn, live in Mansfield, Ohio. They have three children: Mark, Kim, and Susan.
