While an undergraduate at BW, Kris Robison '96 was an outstanding track and field athlete. Competing in javelin, shot put and discus, she was a six-time Ohio Athletic Conference title winner and an All-Ohio Champion. She was a four-time letterwinner and two-time NCAA Division III national qualifier. She placed 17th in javelin at the 1995 NCAA Division III National Championship. In 1996, she was named BW's Outstanding Senior Female Athlete.

Following graduation from BW with a major in psychology, she coached volleyball and track and field, first at Smith College, then at Denison University before becoming the volleyball coach at St. Lawrence University.

She went on to earn a Master's in education from The Ohio State University, a master's in sociology from Syracuse University and a Ph.D. in sociology. She has a number of publications to her credit and has been a presenter at several professional meetings.
