Craig Immel '71 graduated for Baldwin-Wallace in 1971, and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1990.

Immel was a three-year captain and Most Valuable Player for the Yellow Jacket golf team while earning four varsity letters. He led B-W in stroke average per 18-holes for four straight years and compiled a school-record 51 consecutive dual match victories.

In 1970, Immel led the Ohio Athletic Conference in scoring average while finishing third overall in the OAC Championships. He was a two time qualifier and NCAA Division III All-American in 1970 and 1971. He was also selected to the Outstanding College Athletes of America in both 1970 and 71'.

After graduation, the business management major went on to fulfill his ambition of becoming professional golfer. Since 1975, Immel has been a member of the Professional Golf Association. He began his professional career as an assistant at the Birmingham Country Club in 1976. He then was a teaching pro at the prestigious Quail Hollow Inn Resort & Golf Club in Painsville, Ohio. While at Quail Hollow, Immel was named Player of the Year by the Norhern Ohio PGA. He is currently the golf pro at the Westwood Country Club in Rocky River.

Immel and his wife, Sue, live in Westlake with their two children, Johnathan and Jennifer.
