Today Magazine is a trial attorney in Saint Petersburg, Florida.  But, before he showed his strategic talent in the courtroom for the first time, he displayed his athletic talent on the Baldwin-Wallace baseball team.

Jim was with the team throughout his four years at B-W.  In 1984, he led the OAC with a .458 batting average.  That same season, he was named an All-OAC, All-Ohio, and All-District athlete as well as B-W’s Most Valuable Offensive Player.  In 1985, he once again was named an All-OAC athlete as the team celebrated its first OAC championship and trip to the NCAA Regional tournament.  Jim capped off his senior year with only two strikeouts in more than 400 at-bats and  was named B-W’s Most Valuable Player and member of the  All-OAC, All-District and NCAA All-Regional teams.

Jim graduated from B-W in 1986 with a degree in political science.  He received a juris doctorate from Cleveland State University in 1989 and currently is a trial attorney for Beltz, Ruth, Magazine, & Newman PA.
