Jimmy Leffler was a four-year letterwinner, three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference first-team, three-time Academic All-OAC, three-time All-Mideast Region baseball shortstop.  The Chagrin Falls native appeared in 138 career games with 133 starts.  Leffler had a career batting average of .373 (178-of-477) with 109 runs batted-in, 31 doubles, 13 homeruns, 12 stolen bases and six triples.  He was a team captain, the OAC Player of the Week and a member of the OAC All-Tournament Team in 2002, the Outstanding Freshman of the Year, Big Stick and Gold Glove BW awards winner.  Off the field, he was a Dean's List student, member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society, Lee Tressel Scholar-Athlete and Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance awards recipient and a student-assistant in the office of sports information.  Today, Leffler is a Lieutenant with the Beachwood Fire Department.
