Charles Brady '60 graduated from BW in 1960 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1980.

In 1958, when Dr. Lee Tressel made his college coaching debut at Baldwin-Wallace College, 5-10, 165-pound junior quarterback Chuck Brady, from Sandusky St. Mary's High School, was the individual responsible with providing the young coach with his first collegiate win.

Brady did everything in the onslaught against New Haven State, tying one B-W passing record in the process by equalling the mark for touchdown passes in one game set by Tommy Phillips (six) in 1948, and accounted for 283 yards with his aerials, as the Yellow Jackets went on to whip the New Haven club, 50-22.

Brady completed 14 of 24 attempts.  His TD strikes went to three players: Bob Burchfield on passes of 24 and 14 yards, Bob Finowski, 17 and 25 yards; and Bob Barrett, 22 and 14 yards.

Chuck Brady was well known for his great leadership ability, both on the football field and off.  From the first day in camp, it was obvious that the former Sandusky St. Mary athlete was going to be the Yellow Jackets' leader.  He had an uncanny ability to make every member of the ball club feel he was an important part of the squad.

While attending B-W, Brady was a member of Lambda Chi and played football four years and basketball one season.  Formerly, he was in financial control and administrative manager of Union Carbide's Business Service Department and was residing in Brookfield, Connecticut with his wife Rose.  The Brady's have three children, Charles Jr., Scott, and Kyle.
