Joanne Lent Kovacs '56 graduated from Baldwin Wallace in 1956, and was inducted in to the B-W Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1993.

Kovacs has spent much of her life teaching and coaching others after her graduation from Baldwin-Wallace.

In sports, Kovacs participated in the intramural programs at Baldwin-Wallace before there was intercollegiate sports for women. She participated in the bowling, basketball, swimming, volleyball and softball intramural teams for her Delta Zeta Sorority.

Kovacs was president of the Delta Zeta Sorority and was a member of the Greek Council, Panhellenic Council, Women's Recreation Association and the Women's self Government Association. Kovacs also directed and participated in the Aqualine Synchronized Swim Show.

Academically, Kovacs was a member of Laurels named to Who's Who and graduated Cum Laude. After graduating, she went on to the University of Iowa, where she received her master's degree in physical education.

Presently, Kovacs works as a materials coordinator at Sheldahl Inc. She taught physical education and was a coach from 1956 to 1988.

Kovacs and her husband Laszlo have two children and reside in Northfield, Minnesota.
