Mark Summers '75 graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in 1975 and was inducted into the Alumni Athletic Association (Now Brown & Gold Club) Hall of Fame in 1992.

Summers was an outstanding student-athlete and football player at BW. As a three-year starter, he received numerous awards and honors. During his four years in the Brown & Gold, Summers helped to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 30-8 record and  an OAC Divisional Championship.

At linebacker in 1973, Summers was the team's leading tackler, earned second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors, was BW's Most Outstanding Defensive Back and earned Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

As a senior co-captain in 1974, Summers led the Yellow Jackets to the OAC Red Division title and into the OAC Championship Game. . He again led the team in tackles, earned first-team All-OAC honors and was the OAC's Hank Critchfield Award-winner and the league's Outstanding Defensive Back. He also received BW's Ray E. Watts Most Valuable Defensive Player Award, was named as an Associated Press honorable mention Little All-American and the team captain in the East-West Shrine Bowl. In addition, Summers was twice voted BW Defensive Player of the Week and as an OAC Defenive Player of the Week.

As a student, Summers also was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Summers is a past president of the BW Letterman's Association in 1983-84 and currently serves of a member of the Brown & Gold Club Hall of Fame Committee.

Summers continued his education at Bowling Green State University and received his master's degree in 1977. Today, he is the Chief Operating Officer of MAI Capital Management in Cleveland.

Summers resides in Avon Lake, Ohio.
