Tom Scholato '88 was a four-year letterman in both football and track. In 1988 he was the Division III national javelin champion with a top throw of 215 feet and three inches and was named BW's Most Outstanding Senior Male Athlete. Captain of the track team, he also was a two-time Division III All-American and a three-time Ohio Athletic Conference champion. In football he was an All-OAC linebacker, a second-team All-OAC and a COSIDA/GTE Academic All-American.

In addition to his athletic abilities, he was an outstanding student and a member of the Dayton C. Miller, Alpha Lambda and Delta Mu Delta honoraries. He also was a resident assistant and a member of Alpha Tau Omega.

Tom went on to become a regional sales manager for RUB, Inc. in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
