DELAWARE, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field team placed second at the Marv Fyre Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on George Gauthier Track inside Selby Stadium. 

BW placed second out of eight participating teams with 165 points. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

• Junior All-American distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) won the one-mile run in a time of 5:03.10 
• Sophomore Abby Collier (Dublin / Coffman) won the 400-meter dash in a time of 59.10 seconds
• Senior Maddie Miller (Medina) finished second in the 5000-meter run in a time of 18:47.25 
• Freshman Katie Plecko (Rootstown) placed fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:21.58
• Freshman Julia Hurd (Avon Lake) finished sixth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.47 seconds and 12th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 28.17 seconds
• Sophomore Kenni Voytek (Valley View / Cuyahoga Heights) finished eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:14.75 and placed ninth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.83 seconds 

Field events highlighted:

• Senior All-OAC Brooke Buckhannon (Collins / Western Reserve) won the hammer throw with a mark of 170' 0" and second in the shot put with a distance of 41' 8½"
• Senior Hannah Pack (Minster) placed 10th in the javelin throw with a distance of 81' 5"
• Sophomore Emily Randall (Mount Gilead) finished eighth in the long jump with a mark of 
  13' 8¾" 
• Sophomore Kenni Voytek (Valley View / Cuyahoga Heights) placed sixth in the high jump with a height of 4' 6¼"
• Junior Selena Shelley (Mentor) finishes sixth in the discus throw with a mark of 108' 6"
• Sophomore Abby Lorincz (Avon) placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 30' 6¼"

On the relay side:

• The 4x100-meter relay squad of Hurd, freshman Morgan Aloi (Sylvania / Sylvania Northview), freshman Olivia Bradley (Hilliard / Hilliard Davidson), and Collier placed third in a time of 50.60 seconds
• The 4x400-meter relay team of Collier, Plecko, Murphy and Aloi were runners up in a time of 4:04.38

The Yellow Jackets are back in action when they travel to Tiffin to compete in the two-day meet Tiffin Track Carnival on Frost-Kalnow Stadium.
