BEREA, Ohio - Junior All-American distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) broke the 800-meter facility record as the Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor track and field placed fourth with 89 points at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. Mount Union University won with a total of 221.50 points. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

• Murphy broke the 12-year-old facility record of 2:16.59, as she was crowned the OAC Champion of the 800-meter run in a time of 2:16.34. She was also crowned the OAC Champion of the one-mile run in a time of 5:08.71. Murphy picks up her eighth and ninth indoor All-OAC honors. 
• Freshman All-OAC Katie Plecko (Rootstown) placed fifth in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 3:08.06
• Sophomore All-OAC Abby Collier (Dublin / Coffman) finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.07 seconds
• Senior Maddie Miller (Medina) placed 14th in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 11:03.63

Field event highlights:

• Senior All-OAC Abby Rodriguez placed third in shot put with a distance of 40' 1½", earning her third All-OAC indoor honor
• Sophomore Abby Lorincz (Avon) finished 14th in triple jump with a mark of 30' 7"
• Sophomore All-OAC Kenni Voytek (Valley View / Cuyahoga Heights) placed ninth in the high jump with a height of 4' 8¾"

On the relay side:

• The All-OAC 4x200 relay squad of freshman All-OAC Morgan Aloi (Sylvania / Sylvania Northview), freshman All-OAC Olivia Bradley (Hilliard / Hilliard Davidson), Voytek and Collier placed third in a time of 1:47.71
• The All-OAC 4x400 relay team of Aloi, Collier, Plecko and Murphy were the runners up in a time of 4:04.44

The Yellow Jackets are back in action Saturday, March 4th when the team splits to attend two different meets. Polar Bear Qualifier hosted by Ohio Northern and Tufts National Qualifying Meet hosted by Tufts University.
