Five Student- Athletes Awarded To College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference runner Maura Devine (Baden, Pa. / Ambridge Area), sophomore Academic All-OAC Selection Jaelyn Jaquay (Cherry Valley, N.Y. / Springfield Central), Junior All-American distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore), Sophomore All-OAC runner Kenni Voytek (Valley View / Cuyahoga Heights) and senior All-OAC throwers Abby Rodriguez (Grandview, Wash./ Prosser) has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. 

Devine, who earns her first accolade, carries a 3.98 grade point average in Communication Sciences and Disorders. This season, she had a season-best time in the 200-meter, 400-meter, 500-meter, and 800-meter as well as a season-best mark of 11' 7" in the long jump. Off the track, Devine is a dean's list student, and in the school's honor program. She is also a member of the BW Women's cross country team.

Jaquay, who earns her first accolade, carries a 3.92 grade point average in Communication Sciences and Disorders. This season, she had a season-best time in the 5000-meter run in a time of 19:27.97 and 6k time of 24:02.8. She finished 74th at Ohio Athletic Conference Championship in a 6k time of 27.34.1 Off the track, Jaquay is a Academic All-OAC Selection, dean's list student and inducted into psychology honor society.

Murphy, who earns her first accolade, carries a 3.95 grade point average in Hospitatlity & Tourism Management & Marketing. This season, she qualified for her third apperance in the outdoor championships. She qualified for the 1500-meter run. Her last outdoor championship apperance, Murphy placed third in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:28.79, earning her first all-american honor. At the OAC Outdoor Championships, she was crowned the OAC Champion in the 800-meter and 1500-meter run. Murphy was also apart of the 4x400 and 4x800 All-OAC relay teams. Off the track, Murphy is a Jacket Scholar, inducted into elite Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program, dean's list, USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors and Academic All-OAC Selection. 

Voytek, who earns her first accolade, carries a 4.00 grade point average in Psychology. This season, she earned outdoor All-OAC honors in the 4x200 after placing third. She has career-best time of 16.83 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and a career-best height of 4' 8.75" in high jump. Off the track, Voytek is a dean's list student. 

Rodriquez, who earns her first accolade, carries a 3.91 grade point average in Psychology. This season, she earned indoor All-OAC honors in shot put placing third. She is a USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region honoree in the outdoor shot put and has been awarded OAC Field Athlete of the Week. Outside of the field, she is Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and Member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

The Yellow Jackets finished the 2022-23 season finished fourth in the OAC indoor Championships and placed fourth at the OAC Outdoor Championships.
