Schultz Earns First Weekly OAC Field Athlete of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - For the first time this season and in her career, Baldwin Wallace University senior women's track and field thrower Elizabeth Schultz (North Olmsted) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week. 

BW hosted its second home meet of the season, the Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center. Schultz earns the weekly honor after winning the weight throw with a distance of 50' 4½". She is currently ranked third in the OAC after her performance this weekend.

Last week, Schultz placed second in weight throw with a distance of 47' 7¼" at the Mrs. G Invitational hosted by Trine University in Keith E. Busse Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. 

In her career, she had a career-best weight throw distance mark of 51' 3½" last year. 

Outside of field, she is an Academic All-OAC selection.

BW returns to the track on Friday, February 17 when it travels crosstown to compete in the Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational, hosted by Case Western Reserve University in the Veale Center Fieldhouse at 4:00 p.m.
