WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field team opened its 2023 indoor season at the Otterbein Invitational in the Clements Recreation Center. Team scores were unscored.

On the track highlights include:

• Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) won the 500-meter run in a time of 1:20.45
• Freshmen Morgan Aloi (Sylvania / Sylvania Northview) won the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.02 seconds
• Freshmen Julia Hurd (Avon Lake) placed second in the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.20 seconds
• Sophomore Kenni Voytek (Valley View / Cuyahoga Heights) finished third in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 10.46 seconds
• Junior Ella Quick (Cortland, N.Y.) placed sixth in the 400-meter run in a time of 1:08.13
• Sophomore Jensen Wolfe (Somerset / Sheridan) placed eighth in the one-mile run in a time of 5:46.37
• Sophomore Maura Devine (Baden, Pa. / Ambridge Area) finished seventh in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:41.04

On the Relay Side:

• The 4x200 relay squad of Hurd, freshmen Olivia Bradley (Hilliard / Hilliard Davidson), Aloi and sophomore Abby Collier (Dublin / Coffman) won in a time of 1:50.57
• The 4x400 relay squad of freshmen Kate Plecko (Rootstown), Aloi, Murphy and Collier won in a time of 4:12.80

Field event highlights:

• Sophomore Abby Lorincz (Avon) wins the triple jump with a distance of 31' 6½"
• Sophomore Grace Beil (Boardman) placed eighth in the long jump with a mark of 14' 7¾"
• Junior Selena Shelley (Mentor) finished third in shot put with a mark of 36' 7½"
• Senior Elizabeth Schultz (North Olmsted) placed second in the weight throw with a distance of 47' 3¾"

BW will partake in its home-opening meet on Saturday, January 28 for the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge at 10:00 a.m. in the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.
