Complete USTFCCCA Division III All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Two Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field student-athletes each received a pair of United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region selections.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams.

Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) was recognized in both the hammer throw and the discus throw while senior indoor All-American sprinter Jordan Leverette (Cleveland/John Adams) earned his pair of accolades in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Dysert garners his second career All-Region honor in the hammer throw, his first since 2017, and also receives his first recognition in the discus. This season, the senior won the hammer throw in seven straight meets, including the All-Ohio and OAC titles. Dysert also broke the school record in back-to-back weeks, which currently stands at 210 feet, 8 inches and is the top mark in NCAA Division III this season and the 10th-best toss in history of the event. He also added a season-best and career-best toss of 159'4" in the discus just a few days ago at the Augustana (Ill.) Twilight Qualifier.

Leverette notches the fourth and fifth All-Region honors of his outdoor career – his third in the 200 and his first in the 100. He won the 100-meter titles at both the All-Ohio and OAC Championships in times of 10.55 and 10.81 seconds, respectively. Leverette also recently broke the 100 and 200 school records at the Great Lakes Final Qualifying meet, posting times of 10.38 and 20.89 seconds which both top NCAA Division III.

Both Dysert and Leverette will continue their season at the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted Thursday through Saturday, May 23-25, at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
