Dysert Named OAC Field Athlete of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time this season and the third time in his career, Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) has been named OAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Dysert won the weight throw at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships for the second consecutive year, hitting a career-best and school-record mark of 63 feet, 9 inches. He improved on assistant coach Mitch Supan's previous school record by just 0.25 inches and bested the runner-up at the meet by a full 2 feet. Dysert's mark currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division III.

Additionally, Dysert competed in the shot put at Indoor All-Ohio and placed 11th with a toss of 45'9.25".

In 2018, Dysert captured an OAC title in the weight throw with a toss that also qualified him for the NCAA Indoor Championships where he placed 12th. For his career, he has accumulated three All-Ohio honors, three All-OAC accolades and three United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors.

BW will return to the track on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Raider Tune Up, hosted by the University of Mount Union at 12 p.m. inside the McPherson Academic & Athletic Complex.
