Dysert Earns Second Career OAC Field Athlete of the Week Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time in his career, Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) has been selected as the OAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Dysert began his quest to return to the NCAA Championships by winning the weight throw at the Dave Lehman Open, hosted by Otterbein University. His event-winning toss traveled a career-best 61 feet, 9 inches, the fifth-best toss in Division III so far this season. Dysert also placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 46'7.25", improving on last year's season-best mark by over 3 inches.

In 2018, Dysert captured an OAC title in the weight throw with a toss that also qualified him for the NCAA Indoor Championships where he placed 12th. For his career, he has accumulated three All-Ohio honors, three All-OAC accolades and three United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors.

BW will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 26, when the Yellow Jackets host the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. Field events will begin at 9 a.m. while running events will begin at approximately 9:45 a.m.
