AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time this season and the fifth in his career, Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) has been named the OAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

At the John Homon Open this weekend, Dysert won the hammer throw with a career-best and school-record mark of 205 feet, 1 inch. He improved on the previous school record, set back in 2011, by almost 6 full feet. Dysert's mark currently ranks second in NCAA Division III. Additionally, the senior took third in the discus throw and seventh in the shot put with tosses of 152'1" and a career-best 47'1", respectively.

For his career in the outdoor season, Dysert is the 2017 OAC Champion in the discus while also earning an All-OAC honor with a third-place finish in the hammer throw. He also garnered an United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region accolade in the hammer throw in 2017.

BW next competes on Saturday, April 13, at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on the George Gauthier Track.
