AKRON, Ohio – Five Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's outdoor track and field athletes competed in the unscored Campbell/Wright Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division I University of Akron at Lee Jackson Field.

Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC thrower Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) was the lone Yellow Jacket field athlete to compete this weekend. The junior won the hammer throw over three other NCAA Division I and II athletes when she tossed a career-best 175 feet, 6 inches. Buckhannon beat the runner-up by almost 12 feet and her mark currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division III at the time of the meet.
