NEW ORLEANS – For the second time this season, Baldwin Wallace University senior indoor All-American sprinter Jordan Leverette (Cleveland/John Adams) has been named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Men's National Athlete of the Week.

In last week's Great Lakes Final Qualifying meet at Ohio Wesleyan University, Leverette left his mark on school history as he broke both the 100- and 200-meter dash records. The senior crossed the finish line in career-best times of 10.38 and 20.89 seconds, respectively, to also assume the top spot in NCAA Division III in those two events.

For his career in the outdoor season, Leverette is a two-time All-Ohio performer, a three-time All-OAC performer and a five-time USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region honoree.

Leverette will continue his season at the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Thursday through Saturday, May 23-25, hosted jointly by the University of Mount Union and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
