WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) broke a Baldwin Wallace University school record as the Yellow Jackets placed 10th in the All-Ohio Indoor Championships, hosted by Otterbein University inside the Clements Recreation Center.

BW finished 10th of 18 teams with 21 points. Both Otterbein and the University of Mount Union tied for first with a total of 124 points.

The top three individual athletes in each event earn All-Ohio honors while the members of the top three relay teams also receive the accolades.

Dysert won the Indoor All-Ohio weight throw for the second consecutive year with a mark of 63 feet, 9 inches and improved on assistant coach Mitch Supan's previous school record by 0.25 inches. The weight throw runner-up finished a full 2 feet behind Dysert, whose mark currently ranks fifth nationally at the time of the meet.

Junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC thrower Ted Achladis (Avon Lake/Elyria Catholic) and sophomore jumper/sprinter Alex Dempsey (Madison) also had solid days in the field. Achladis placed fifth in the shot put when he tossed 49'3" while Dempsey took sixth in the long jump with a leap that traveled 21'1.25".

Just behind Hickmott in the 800 was freshman distance runner David Prather (Hardin, Mont.) in 12th place in a time of 2:02.13.
