BEREA, Ohio – Senior indoor All-American sprinter Jordan Leverette (Cleveland/John Adams) broke two separate Baldwin Wallace University school records as members of the men's outdoor track and field teams competed at various NCAA Last Chance meets.

Competing at the Great Lakes Final Qualifying meet hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University, Leverette wrote his name on both the 100- and 200-meter dashes, claiming the fifth and sixth overall school records of his career and the first two during an outdoor season. The senior posted the top time in the 100 preliminaries, crossing the finish line in a career-best 10.38 seconds to improve on the previous fully-automatic time (FAT) school record by 0.01 seconds. Leverette then followed it up by winning the 200, this time in 20.89 seconds which bests both the previous hand-timed and FAT marks. Both of his event record times top all of NCAA Division III at the time of the meet.

Out at the Twilight Qualifier hosted by Augustana (Ill.) College, senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) finished as the runner-up in the hammer throw after hitting a mark of 207 feet, 5 inches. The senior also notched a career-best 159'4" in the discus throw to place eighth.

Representing the distance crew, senior Spencer Mahon (North Royalton) competed on Wednesday at the Gregory Final Qualifier hosted by North Central (Ill.) College. The senior closed out his career on a high note, running a career best of 32:01.60 in the 10,000-meter run to place sixth.

Leverette and Dysert will continue their season at the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted Thursday through Saturday, May 23-25, at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
