ACADEMIC MAJOR:  Psychology

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Zack Barley played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2010-2013). Highlighting his career was being named as a 2013 CAPITAL ONE first-team Academic All-America student-athlete.

Zack was a key three-year varsity contributor, the starting safety for two years, and he earned three varsity letters. He twice earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference and CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 accolades.

OTHER ACADEMIC HONORS: Zack is an outstanding student who carries a 3.867 grade average. He is a member of the Dean's List and the Alpha Lambda Academic Honor Society and is a Jacket Scholar. 

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:  In his four seasons, Zack helped BW produce a 28-12 record with a .700 winning percentage. Individually, he had 101 career tackles, including seven for loss. He also has three interceptions and 14 total pass breakups.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Zack played his first season of football and earned a certificate of participation.  He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams as he competed for time as a safety. Zack appeared in three varsity games and contributed two total tackles.  BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Zack played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in eight varsity games at safety and on special teams. Zack served as a backup to All-OAC seniors Ryan Dugan and Corey Hildreth and was the "nickel" back in passing situations. He contributed 18 total tackles, including two for loss, and recorded one pass breakup.  BW finished 8-2 overall and was ranked 24th in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Division III national poll.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Zack played his third season of football and earned his second varsity letter. He started at safety and recorded 52 tackles to rank third on the team. It included three tackles for loss. Zack tied fellow safety Tom Goebel for the team lead with three interceptions and had five total pass breakups.  For his efforts both on and off the field, Zack was both a first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 and Academic All-OAC student-athlete. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Zach played his fourth season of football and earned his third letter. The team quint-captain was a starting safety. He played in eight games, missing two full games and parts of two others with an injury, and had 29 tackles, including two for loss, five pass breakups and forced a fumble. For his efforts both on and off the field, Zack was a first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American and both a first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 and Academic All-OAC student-athlete. BW finished 6-4 overall.

CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS AT BW: Zack is a member of the Neuroscience and Pre-Med Club.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Zack attended Hudson High School and played four years of football and earned three varsity letters.  He also played baseball for three years and earned one letter and played four years of basketball and earned a letter. 

As a senior, Zack was All-Notheast Ohio Conference and honorable mention All-Northeast Ohio District. He also was selected as a Hudson H.S. Scholar-Athlete and as both an Academic All-Ohio and All-American Scholar-Athlete. Zack received the Ray Hyser Leadership Award and was a team captain. As a senior, Zack led Hudson H.S. in tackles and ran back a pair of interceptions for touchdowns.

As a junior Zack also recieved All-NOC honors.
