ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science/ Teaching & Coaching

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a junior in 2013-2014, Mike is playing his third season of football at Baldwin Wallace University. He is the starting quarterback and will look to earn his second varsity letter.  

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Mike is an outstanding student-athlete who maintains a 3.885 grade point average. He is a Dean's List students, a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society and was named a Jacket Scholar. 

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a junior in 2013-2014, Mike was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Bluffton University on September 14, 2013.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2011-2012, Mike competed in his first season of football at quarterback and saw playing time in one varsity game and on the junior varsity team.  He received a certificate of participation.  Mike rushed the ball once for three yards. BW finished 8-2 overall and was ranked No.24 in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) national poll.
    As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Mike played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in seven games as the "wildcat" quarterback and alternated with senior All-OAC signal-caller Ryan O'Rourke '13.  He also help the ball for placekicker Chris Mohler '14. Mike completed three of six passes for 32 yards and ran the ball 37 times for 194 yards with three touchdowns. BW finished 7-3 overall.
    As a junior in 2013-2014, Mike was the starting quarterback for the BW offense and appeared in 9 games. He earned his second varsity letter for his efforts on the field. He was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Bluffton University on September 14, 2013. Mike completed 12-of-15 passes for 213 yards and two TD's and ran for a game-high 102 yards in 16 attempts with a TD in a 52-21 win at Bluffton. He finished the season with 637 passing yards, 268 rushing yards and a total of 9 TD's. He helped lead BW to a 6-4 record.
    As a Senior in 2014-2015, Mike will play his fourth season of football and look to earn his third varsity letter.

HOMETOWN &  HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Michael Slack grew up in Casselberry, Florida and graduated from Pine Castle Christian Academy.  Mike competed in four seasons of football earning four varsity letters and four seasons of basketball earning three varsity letters.

In football, Mike was the FACA 1B Player of the Year in 2010 and was honorable mention All-Florida for three seasons from 2008-10.
