ACADEMIC MAJOR: Integrated Science Education

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON):  As a senior in 2013-2014, Dan played his fourth season of football and earned his second varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Dan was named as a Jacket Scholar.  Also during his sophomore year, at the Honors Day Awards Ceremony, Dan was awarded the Ted & Irene Theodore Scholarship.  With a 3.793 grade point average, Dan is a Dean's List student.  In 2012-2013, Dan was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society and named a 2013 Jacket Scholar. As a senior in 2013-2014. Dan was named an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection for the first time.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2010-2011, Dan played in his first season of football and saw playing time on the junior varsity.  
    As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Dan competed in his second season of football. He saw playing time in two games for BW. For his efforts, he earned his second certificate of participation.
    As a junior in 2012-2013, Dan played his third season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in nine games for the Yellow Jackets. In those nine games, Dan had one punt return for eight yards and recorded six total tackles.
    As a senior in 2013-2014, Dan caught 4 passes for 29 yards and earned his second varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Dan Reed grew up in Knox, Pennsylvania and graduated from Keystone High School. Dan played four years of football and ran four seasons of track and earned four varsity letters in each sport, respectively  Dan also played four years of basketball, earning three varsity letters.

In football as a senior, Dan was named Keystone Shortway Conference first-team quarterback, punter, and defensive back of the Year. He was also selected as a third-team All-Pennslyvania quarterback, and a Pennsylvania writers second-team athlete. In basketball as a senior, Dan was named to the second team All-KSC.  In track, Dan was a second team All-KSC member as he placed fifth in his district in the 110 meter hurdles.
