SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2013-2014, Michael played in his fourth season of football and earned his third varsity letter.
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Michael McGervey played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. Throughout his career, Michael played the wide reciever position. Michael helped the team compile a 28-12 career mark with a .700 winning percentage. Individually, he appeared 21 games. In these 21 games Michael caught 7 passes ad gained 100 yards. He had a long of 29, and scored three touchdowns.
As a freshman in 2010-2011, Michael played in his first season of football for BW and saw action in four games at wide receiver. He also saw playing time on the junior varsity squad, and for his efforts, he earned his first certificate of participation.
As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Michael competed in his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He saw playing time at the wide reciever position in seven games and recorded two receptions for 34 yards with two touchdowns.
As a junior in 2012-2013, Michael played his third season of football and earned his second varsity letter. Michael appeared in all ten games at wide receiver for the Yellow Jackets. He caught five passes for 66 yards with one touchdown.
As a senior in 2013-2014, Michael's season was cut short due to injury. He did compete in his fourth season of football and earned hi third varsity letter. BW finished the season 6-4 overall.
HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Mike McGervey grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Michael played four years of football and ran three years of track and field. He earned three varsity letters in each sport, respectively.
