BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Kory Gillissie played four years of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2010-2013). 

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Kory made a big contribution during his career. BW recorded a 28-12 record during his four seasons in the Brown & Gold. He earned four varsity letters as he appeared in 34 games during his career. His was big in the return game, as he returned one punt for a touchdown, and had 245 return yards on his career. 

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Kory competed in his first season of football and earned his first varsity letter.  He saw most of his action on special teams and rotated in at cornerback on defense. Kory had two tackles on defense and returned one punt for 11 yards.  BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Kory played his second season of football and earned his second varsity letter. He played in all ten games at cornerback and was a punt returner. Kory recorded nine unassisted tackles and returned 12 punts for a 14.8-yard average to rank among the OAC leaders. He returned a punt 44-yards for a touchdown in a 75-0 victory at rival Wilmington College. Kory helped B-W finish with an 8-2 overall record and a No.24 ranking in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) poll.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Kory played his third season of football and earned his third varsity letter. He saw playing time in seven games while rotating in at the cornerback position. For the season, Kory recorded ten total tackles and also recorded his first fumble recovery for 12 yards. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Kory played in his fourth season of football and saw time at cornerback and punt returner on the varsity team. Kory played in 9 games and returned 5 punts for 43 yards while also recording 15 tackles on defense. Kory received his fourth letter.

GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: Kory has had a solid baseball career thus far. BW has recorded a 44-30 record during his first two seasons in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Kory is hitting .324 (19-for-72) with 16 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, 12 RBIs and is five-for-six in stolen base attempts.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Kory played in his first season of baseball.  He appeared in 20 games, starting six of them.  Kory hit .190 (4-of-21) with four runs scored, two doubles, and two RBIs.  He stole three bases in three attempts and defensivly had a .917 fielding percentage.  B-W finished the season 17-17.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Kory played in his second season of baseball.  He appeared in 23 games, starting 16 of them. Kory batted .294 (15-for-51) on the year with two doubles, 12 runs scored, and 10 RBIs. He also stole two bases. B-W set a school record with 27 victories and a 27-13 overall record.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Kory sat out the season due to an injury that required surgery.  BW finished 27-13 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Kory will play in his third season of baseball and will look to earn his third varsity letter. He is expected to battle for a starting spot in the outfield.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Kory Gillissie grew up in Parma, Ohio and graduated from St. Ignatius High School. He played four years of football and baseball and wrestled for one year. Kory earned three varsity letters in football and two varsity letters in baseball.

In football as a junior, Kory was named Honorable Mention All-District and was a starter on the 2008 State Champion Football Team. As a senior, he recorded 66 tackels, three interceptions, one forced fumble and fumble recovery and one quarterback sack. On offense, Kory made three receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown and also played on special teams, returning 18 punts for a total of 197 yards.

In baseball as a junior, Kory was a member of the State Playoff Final Four Baseball Team.

Academically, Kory received second honors in his first three years of high school.
