BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Jake Mauer played his first season of football at Baldwin Wallace University. The defensive end earned his first varsity letter and made an impact for the future.
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Jake Mauer transferred to Baldwin Wallace from the University of Findlay, where he competed as a freshman.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Jake was sidelined due to an injury. He received a medical red-shirt
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Jake played his first season of football at BW and earned his first varsity letter. He alternated at defensive end in all 10 games and had 27 total tackles, 2.0 quarterback sacks, 3.5 tackles for losses of 18 yards and forced one QB hurry. BW finished 6-4 overall.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Jake will play his third season of football overall and second at BW. Look for him to make an impact on the defensive line at end.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Jake Mauer grew up in Brunswick, Ohio and graduated from Brunswick High School. He played football, wrestled and ran track and field. Jake earned three varsity letters in football and track and one varsity letter in wrestling.
In football as a senior, Jake was named second-team All-Northern Ohio Conference.
Academically, Jake graduated with a 3.1 grade point average.
