ACADEMIC MAJOR: Education

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a senior in 2013-2014, Zac played his third season of football earned his second varsity letter.  He is one of five team captains. He did not play as a freshman in 2010-2011 due to an injury.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Zac is an outstanding student and maintains a 3.838 grade point average. He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies.  As a junior in 2012-2013, Zac earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:    As a freshman in 2010-2011, Zac attended BW but did not play football due to an injury that required surgery and rehabilitation. He could eventually receive a medical red-shirt.  BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Zac competed in his first season of football and earned a certificate of participation. He split his playing time between the varsity and junior varsity squads. Zac received his second certificate of participation. He helped the Yellow Jacket offense average nearly 30 points and 370 yards of offense per game. BW finished 8-2 overall and was ranked No.24 in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Division III national poll.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Zac played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He started nine games at offensive center and helped the BW offense average 32.4 points and nearly 370 yards of total offense per game. For his efforts in the classroom and on the field, Zac earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.  BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Zac was a mainstay on the offensive line and earned his second varsity letter. He also earned his second Academic All-OAC award.

FAMILY BACKGROUND:   Zac's father, Les, a 1989 inductee into the BW Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Famer, is a former football and wrestling great at the University.  He played football for the late and legendary BW graduate, coach and College Football Hall of Famer Lee Tressel '48, and wrestled for the late and legendary Hall of Fame coach John Summa. Les also spent two years on the BW coaching staff for the late and legendary BW Hall of Famer Bob Packard '65.

HIGH SCHOOL BACKGROUND:  Zac grew up in Cambridge, Ohio and graduated from Cambridge High School. He played football for four years and earned three varsity letters. He also wrestled for four years and lettered four times.

In football, Zac was a first-team All-East Central Ohio League and an honorable mention All-Ohio Valley Athletic Conference selection in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. He also was named first-team All-Eastern District for Division III in both 2008-2009 and 2009-2010

Academically, Zac was Academic All-Ohio in football in 2009-2010. He also was a member of the Cambridge H.S. National Honor Society, an Honor Roll student and an academic letterman.
