BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Josiah Holt is one of the best all-around athletes and team leaders to ever play at Baldwin Wallace University.

He played four years of football (2010-2013), was a team captain and earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors three times, including being a first-team selection in both 2011 and 2012.

In track, Josiah is a returning NCAA Division III All-American sprinter who will compete in his fourth season of indoor and outdoor track during the winter and spring of 2014.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2011-2012 in track, Josiah earned NCAA Division III All-American honors as a member of the 4x100-meter relay team at the 2012 NCAA Division III National Championship Meet. 

In football as a sophomore in 2011-2012, Josiah earned first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors as a return specialist.  As a junior in 2012-2013, he was a first-team All-OAC wide receiver. As a senior in 2013-2014, he was named as a preseason first-team All-Ohio pick by the website www.ohiocollegefootball.com. Josiah was a second-team All-OAC choice at WR. He also earned OAC Player of the Week honors three times (once each as a sophomore, junior and senior).

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:   Josiah Holt ended his Yellow Jacket football career with 3,488 career all-purpose yards and 20 touchdowns. He played for four years and earned four varsity letters and was a team captain in 2013. He saw time at wide receiver, running back and as a kickoff return specialist. During his four seasons, Josiah helped BW to compile a 28-12 record with a .700 winning percentage.

Individually, Josiah ran the ball 125 times for 920 yards and eight touchdowns. He caught 103 passes for 1,417 yards and nine TD's. He also ran back 41 kicks for a 28.1-yard average with three TD's. As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Josiah earned first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors as a return specialist.  As a junior in 2012-2013, he was a first-team All-OAC wide receiver. As a senior in 2013-2014, he was named as a preseason first-team All-Ohio pick by the website www.ohiocollegefootball.com. Josiah was a second-team All-OAC choice at WR. He also earned OAC Player of the Week honors three times (once each as a sophomore, junior and senior).

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Josiah played in his first season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He saw playing time in eight games and had 27 rushing yards on three attempts and 16 pass receptions for 134 receiving yards.  Josiah was most utilized on special teams on kickoff returns and averaged 29.6 yards per return to rank 10th nationally in Division III. He had a 90-yard kickoff return for a TD against Otterbein University on Homecoming.  Overall, Josiah had 634 all-purpose yards. He helped BW compile a 7-3 record.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Josiah played in his second season of football and earned his second letter. He played in all 10 games and had a team-high-tying 23 catches for 245 yards and two TDs. He also returned 11 kickoffs for a 30.7 yard average, including two for TDs. For his efforts, he was named as a first-team All-OAC selection as a return specialist. Josiah was the OAC Special Teams Player of the Week versus Wilmington on October 24 as he returned a kickoff for a TD. He helped BW compile an 8-2 record and No. 24 ranking in Division III in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) poll.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Josiah played his third season of football and earned his third letter. He played in nine games (missed one with an injury) and had a team-high 41 catches for 642 yards and five TDs. He also ran the ball 36 times for 251 yards and two TDs. He returned 13 kickoffs for a 25.8-yard average with a long of 50 yards. For his efforts, he was named as a first-team All-OAC wide receiver. He also earned OAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his 327-yard all-purpose effort on Sept. 17 in a 36-32 win at John Carroll University. He helped BW compile a 7-3 overall record.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Josiah played his fourth season of football, earned his fourth letter and was a team captain (one of five). He earned numerous Div. III pre-season All-American honors, was both the 2013 Frank Ropollo Homecoming Player of the Game award winner and earned OAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in a 38-17 win against Ohio Northern University on October 12 in Berea. Despite missing the first three games of the season with an injury, he led the team in rushing with 579 yards in 78 attempts with five TD's and was second with 23 pass receptions for 225 yards and two TD's. He earned second-team All-OAC honors as a WR. BW finished 6-4 overall.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION: Josiah has had a solid indoor track and field career thus far. B-W has finished fourth in the OAC in his first two seasons in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Josiah has recorded career best marks of23.88 seconds in the 200-meter dash, 7.25 seconds in the 60-meter dash, and 6.80 seconds in the 55-meter dash. Josiah was also an important part of the 4x200 relay that recorded a best time of 1:30.58 which placed second in the OAC.

As a freshman in 2011, Josiah competed in his first season of indoor track and field.  He established personal bests in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.79 seconds at the 2011 OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships and in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.23 seconds at the 2011 Greater Cleveland Championships. Josiah also competed in the 4x200-meter relay which posted a best time of 1:32.70 at the Greater Cleveland Championships as well. 

As a sophomore in 2012, Josiah competed in his second season of indoor track and field for the Yellow Jackets as a sprinter. He set a career best time of 23.88 in the 200-meter dash at the Fighting Scots Invitational. He set a personal best time of 7.25 in the 60-meter dash, and set a season best time of 6.80 in the 55-meter dash. Josiah was also an important part of the 4x200 relay that set a season best time of 1:30.58 at the OAC indoor championships to capture second place. 

As a junior in 2013, Josiah returned as one of the top sprinters in the OAC and Division III.  He ran the quickest 400-meter dash this season for BW (53.00 seconds). Josiah competed in the 200-meter dash, where his best time this season came at 23.77 seconds. He was also on both of the top relay teams this season for BW.  The 4x200-meter relay team recorded their best time of 1:31.26, while the 4x400-meter relay team had their season-best mark of 3:31.43.  

As a senior in 2014, Josiah willrun his fourth track and field.

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION: Josiah has had a solid outdoor track and field career thus far. B-W has finished second in the OAC in his first two seasons in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Josiah has recorded career best marks of 11.25 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 22.91 seconds in the in the 200-meter dash, and he earned All-American accolades as he was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that recorded a 41.46 timing in the finals of the NCAA Division III Championships Meet to place eighth.

As a freshman in 2011, Josiah competed in his first season of outdoor track and field.  He established personal-best times in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.65 seconds at the 2011 Sparky Adams Invitational and in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.96 seconds at the 2011 Marv Frye Invitational. Josiah also competed in the 4x100-meter relay posting a season-best time of 44.87 at the 2011 Sparky Adams Invitational. 

As a sophomore in 2012, Josiah competed in his second season of outdoor track and field for the Yellow Jackets as a sprinter where he earned his second varsity letter in the spring. Josiah ran a career best in the 100-meter dash when he crossed the finish line in a time of 11.25 seconds while down in North Carolina for the 2012 Coastal Carolina meet.  Josiah also posted another career-best in the 200-meter dash when he crossed the finish line in a time of 22.91 seconds while competing in the Charlotte 49er Classic & Combined Events.  He also earned All-American accolades as he was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that recorded a 41.46 timing in the finals to place eighth. The top eight competitors in each event earn NCAA Div. III All-American accolades. Also competing in the 4x100-meter relay with Josiah was sophomore Shawn Cordes (Medina/Buckeye), senior Mike Smith (Wintersville/Indian Creek) and sophomore Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/St. Ignatius).

As a junior in 2013, Josiah returned as one of the top sprinters in the OAC and Division III.  He was apart of both the top 4x100-meter relay team (42.38 seconds) and the top 4x400-meter relay team (3:20.47) at BW this season.  Josiah recorded the team's second-best time and personal record in the 400-meter dash with his best finish coming when he crossed the finish line at 50.48 seconds at the Coastal Carolina University Invitational.  He also ran the 200-meter dash in his personal best time of 22.51 seconds at the Charlotte 49er Classic.

As a senior in 2014, Josiah will run his fourth track and field season and look to earn his fourth varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Josiah Holt grew up in Grafton, Ohio and graduated from Midview High School. Josiah played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. He also earned a varsity letter all four years he ran track.  

In football, Josiah was a three-time All-Lorain County, All-District and All-West Shore Conference selection. He was an All-Ohio pick as a junior and senior. He was twice named team MVP, a Wendy's Player of the Week and was also a candidate for WOBL Player of the Year. In track, Josiah was a two-time All-WSC performer and team MVP as a junior.
