Janosko, who carries a 3.8 grade point average in BW's Master's of Accounting Program, joins fellow seniors and recent undergraduates baseball leftfielder Brendan Toughey (East Amherst, N.Y./ St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute), All-American diver Julie Pinter (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and women's golfer Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) as two-time CAPITAL ONE Academic All-Americans and each garnered first-team honors this spring.  Toughey also was the CAPITAL ONE Division III Baseball Academic All-American of the Year.

"We are extremely pleased for Kenny and his family," said BW veteran Head Coach Dr. Bill Taraschke, who has led his Yellow Jacket teams to nearly 50 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) titles. "He is deserving of Academic All-America honors and every other award that he has received during his career.

"Kenny was an outstanding young man who excelled in the classroom, on the track and cross country course and was an excellent example of the student-athlete philosophy," contiuued Taraschke.  "He was a great role model for our younger student-athletes to learn from and hopefully emulate in the future."

Janosko ran four years of cross country and four years track and field and earned four varsity letters in each sport.  He is one of the finest distance runners to ever compete at BW. Janosko was a member of the Dean's List and the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies, named as a Jacket Scholar and received the Jerry Zemelka Yellow Jacket Award. He also earned Academic All-OAC honors as both a junior and senior.

In cross country, Janosko had his most success.  As a sophomore in 2011, he earned both All-Ohio Athletic Conference and All-Great Lakes Region honors in cross country.  As a junior in 2011, Janosko earned All-OAC and All-Great Lakes Region honors, advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet and was named as the OAC Men's Co-Cross Country Runner of the Year.  As a senior in 2012, he was named as the OAC Cross Country Runner of the Week on October 8.

In track, Janosko was an outstanding 3,000-to-10,000-meter runner who earned numerous All-OAC and All-Ohio awards.  This season, he won the 2013 All-Ohio indoor title in the 5,000 meters and the outdoor crown in the 10,000 meters.  He also owns the BW school-record in the indoor 5,000 with a time of 15:05.55. Twice, Janosko was tabbed as the OAC Track Runner of the Week.

Overall, BW has produced 86 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America student-athletes since the program's inception in 1970, including 20 two-time honorees.  The eighty-six selections is the most in the history of the prestigious OAC and among the most of any Division III school in the nation.
