BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Julie Pinter competed in her fourth season of diving at Baldwin Wallace University in 2012-2013. She is the finest female diver in school history and a CAPITAL ONE Division III Academic All-American.  She earned four varsity letters and was a team captain as a junior and senior.

CLYDE LAMB AWARD:  Julie was the 2012-2013 female Clyde Lamb Award winner from BW t the Ohio Athletic Conference. The award is symbolic of the school's top female student-athlete at each of the OAC's 10 member institutions.

2012-2013 MOST OUTSTANDING SENIOR FEMALE ATHLETE:   Julie also was selected as the 2012-2013 Most Outstanding Senior Female Athlete.

ACADEMIC HONORS: Julie carries an outstanding 3.79 grade point average. As a junior in 2011-2012, Julie was selected as a first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American. As a sophomore in 2010-2011 and as a junior in 2011-12, Julie was honored as a NCAA Swim Coaches Association Scholar All-American.  Julie is a member of the Dean’s List, Alpha Lambda Delta (Freshman) and Chi Sigma Alpha (Athletics) honor societies, a Jacket Scholar and a 3-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection.

GENERAL SWIMMING AND DIVING INFORMATION: Julie is the finest female diver in BW school history. In addition to being a CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American, she is a 6-time NCAA Division III All-American, a 3-time Ohio Athletic Conference Diver of the Year, a 6-time OAC champion, unbeaten during her career in OAC dual meets, 3 time Academic All-OAC selection and a 7-time OAC Female Swimmer/ Diver of the Week.

Her school-records include scores of 270.20 in the 1 Meter Opt. Dive, a 287.20 in the 3 Meter Opt. Dive, a 490.40 in the 1 Meter Champ. Dive, and a score of 524.20 in the 3 Meter Champ. Dive.

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Julie competed in her first season of diving and earned her first varsity letter. She became only the second athlete in BW swimming & diving history to earn multiple All-American awards. She placed fifth on the three-meter board (435.30 points) and sixth on the one-meter board (400.55) at the Division III National Championship meet. She also was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year after winning the one-meter dive with an OAC-record score of 448.80 points and placing second in the three-meter dive (421.80) at the conference championship meet. Julie set school-records in the one-meter (467.53) and three-meter (446.92) championship events versus John Carroll on January 30, 2010. She was named OAC Swimmer of the Week on February 1, 2010.  She also set a school-record in the one-meter optional dive of 252.45 points. Julie established BW pool records of 251.60 points in the one-meter optional dive and 426.40 in the one-meter championship dive.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Julie competed in her second season of diving and earned her second varsity letter. She reset the school-record in the 1-meter optional diving event versus Penn State Behrend with a score of 259.50 points. Julie earned OAC Swimmer of the Week honors on Jan. 24 for her efforts in meets on Jan. 21 versus Hiram and Allegheny (Pa.) and on Jan. 22 at Ohio Northern. At ONU, Julie set the school-record in the 3-meter optional diving event. At the 2011 OAC Championships, Julie won the 1-meter and 3-meter events and was named as the OAC Diver of the Year for the second straight season. Julie also became a four-time NCAA Division III All-American by placing fourth in the 1-meter event and sixth in the 3-meter event.

As a junior in 2011-12, Julie completed in her third season of diving and earned her third varsity letter. She earned OAC Swimmer of the Week honors on January 23, 2012 for her efforts in meets versus Hiram and ONU.  She was named as the OAC Swimmer of the Week for the second straight week for her efforts in meets at CWRU and JCU. At the 2012 OAC Championships, Julie won the the 1-meter and 3-meter events and was named the OAC Diver of the Year for the third straight season. Julie also became a six-time NCAA Division III All-American by placing as the national runner-up in the 1-meter event and finished fourth in the 3-meter event.

As a senior in 2012-13, Julie competed in her fourth season of swimming and diving as a diver. She reset school records in the 1-meter dive at Wilmington College on October 27 and in the 3-meter on Nov. 3 against Hiram College in the second round of the Greater Cleveland All-City Meet at Oberlin College. Julie was named as the OAC Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 5 for her efforts at the All-City Meet on Nov. 2-3 and on January 28 for her efforts in a dual meet versus John Carroll (seventh time she has won this award).

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:
  Julie grew up in Broadview Heights, Ohio and graduated from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.  She competed in three years of diving and earned three varsity letters. She also competed in four years of cheerleading and earned two letters; one year of gymnastics and earned one letter; and one year of softball, but did not letter. 

In diving, Julie was the Southwest Conference champion as a senior.  She qualified for the OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) State Meet in Division I as a junior and senior.  She was 13th as a junior and 11th as a senior and twice earned All-Ohio accolades. She was also team captain for the swim team and cheerleaders. She set the BBHS school-record in diving as a senior.

Academically, Julie was in the National Honor Society and the Academic Team as a junior and senior.
