BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Emily Payne will be competing in her third season of swimming at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. She earned her second varsity letter.
ACADEMIC HONORS: In 2012-13, Emily was named Academic All-Ohio Athetic Conference.
GENERAL SWIMMING AND DIVING INFORMATION: Emily is off to a solid swimming and diving career thus far. Her personal bests throughout her first season are: a time of 29.33 in the 50-meter freestyle, 1:02.22 in the 100-meter freestyle, 36.89 in the 50-meter breaststroke, 1:18.23 in the 100-meter breaststroke, 2:52.54 in the 200-meter breaststroke, and a 2:39.10 in the 200-meter IM.
As a freshman in 2011-12, Emily completed her first season of swimming. She had a personal best of 29.45 in the 50 freestyle, a 1:04.06 in the 100 freestyle, a 36.94 in the 50 breaststroke, and a 1:18.23 in the 1000 breaststroke.
As a sophomore in 2012-13, Emily competed in her second season of swimming and earned her second varsity letter. She had career bests in 50 freestyle (29.33), 100 freestyle (1:02.22), 50 breaststroke (36.89), 200 breaststroke (2:52.54), and 200 IM (2:39.10). She was named Academic All-OAC.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Emily will compete in her third season of swimming and look to earn her third varsity letter.
HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Emily Payne grew up in Ligonier, Pennsylvania and graduated from Ligonier Valley High School. Emily was a four year letter-winner in swimming and a two year letter-winner in soccer.
In swimming Emily qualified for the district swim meet in all four years of her high school career.
