The Yellow Jacket men scored 78 points to place second of 14 teams. 

For the men, senior three-time NCAA Division III All-American Mitch Supan (Medina/Walsh Jesuit) won the hammer throw with a toss of 190' 07''. Supan also took home the title in the shot put with a throw of 54' 08" and also won the discus with a toss of 167' 03". All-OAC thrower Zach Marinucci (Brunswick) finished third in the hammer thorw with a throw of 165' 11". Senior All-OAC performer Jake Buckey (Geneva) placed fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 161' 03''.

In running events, the Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Ben Beidelman (Washington, D.C./ St. Anselm's Academy). Beidelman finished first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.34. He finished third in 100 meter dash in a time of 10.93. Beidelman was also a member of the fourth place 4x100 meter relay team consisting of All-American junior Shawn Cordes (Litchfield/ Medina Buckeye), freshmen Jarod Conrad (West Lafayette/ Ridgewood) and Ovidiu Pavel (Parma/ Normandy) that finished with a time of 43.21. Conrad also placed third in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.49.

 

BW is back in action next Saturday, April 13 when it travels back to Delaware, Ohio and Ohio Wesleyan University to compete in the annual Division III Championship Meet. Field events begin at 10:00 a.m.
