Select Men Tracksters Compete at Toledo Meet

TOLEDO, OHIO –  Select members of the Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team competed at the University of Toledo Invitational. The meet was unscored. 

For the men, freshmen Ben Biedelman (Washington, D.C. /St. Anselm's Academy) placed third in the 400 meter dash with a career-best time of 49.69 seconds and sixth in the 200 meters at 22.06 seconds.

In addition, freshman Sammy Ibrahim (North Olmsted) placed fourth in the long jump with a career-best jump of 21-feet and 3.5-inches (21'3.5"); freshman Tyler Burdoff (Painesville/Riverside) was eighth in the shot put with a career-best throw of 47'11.75", 12th in the hammer with a toss of 146'1" and 14th in the discus with a career-best toss of 133'10"; senior All-OAC performer Jake Buckey (Geneva) was 10th in the hammer with a throw of 169'0"; freshmanRyan Weir (Lodi/Cloverleaf) was 10th in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:00.11 and 12th in the 400 meter dash in 51.88 seconds; and sophomore Alex Evers (Middlefield/Berkshire) was 10th in the 110 meter high hurdles in 16.59 seconds.

Select members of the track team will end their season next Friday, May 10 when they compete at the Allegheny College Gator Invitational Meet at 10:00 a.m. in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
