BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior three-time NCAA Division III All-American Mitch Supan (Medina/Walsh Jesuit) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete-of-the-Week for his efforts last week. This is the fourth weekly honor in Supan's illustrious career.
Supan, earned his third weekly honor of 2013, won three events at the annual BW Paul "Sparky" Adams Invitational Meet at The George Finnie Stadium. He won the shot put with a throw of 52-feet and 6.75 inches, the discus with a throw of 165'0" and the hammer with a career-best throw of 194'11".
Supan ended his home career by anchoring the all senior 4x400-meter relay team along withCAPITAL ONE Academic All-American and distance standout Ken Janosko (Mentor), David Gerding (Strongsville) and Ryan Fallow (Medina), in the final event of the Sparky Adams Invitational. It was the first time that the four have competed in the event and the first time Supan has competed in a running event.
To date, Supan ranks fifth nationally in Division III in the shot put at 55'6.25", fourth in the discus at 174'5" and fourth in the hammer at 194'11". Earlier this spring, he was named as BW's Most Outstanding Male Athlete Award winner.

Supan and Janosko will travel to Des Moines, Iowa along to compete in the Drake Relays. Supan will compete in the hammer on Saturday, April 27 and Janosko will compete in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday, April 25. The track and field teams will close out the season at the Toledo Invitational on Thursday, May 2 and at the Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny (Pa.) College on May 9.
