Supan Garners Third Career Outdoor OAC Weekly Honor

BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin Wallace University senior three-time NCAA Division III All-American Mitch Supan (Medina/Walsh Jesuit) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Field Performer-of- the-Week.  This is the third straight week multiple Yellow Jackets have garnered OAC weekly honors.

Supan, who earned his second outdoor weekly honor this season as well as the third in his career, won all three throwing events at the annual Ohio Athletic Conference Gold Split Squad Meet at Marietta College and helped BW to a third place finish.  He won the shot put with a throw of 55-feet and six and one-quarter inches (55'6.25"), hammer throw with a career-best toss of 192'0.5" and the discus with a throw of 167'6". His mark in the hammer throw is the second best throw in Division III this spring and bettered his previous second place mark by more than four feet.  Supan is also third in Division III in the shot put with his mark of 55'6.25", which bettered his previous third place mark by one foot and six inches.

The men's and women's track and field teams are back in action Saturday,  April 6 at the Marv Frye Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware.
